Make a difference, inspire and be inspired...
HOPE Services assists adults, seniors and children with developmental disabilities to become valued and participating members of their communities. We serve more than 3,000 people with developmental disabilities at home, at work and in their communities.
Fifty five years ago, the founding families of HOPE Services created a legacy that has grown because their beliefs were timeless. Their philosophy became our mission:
"Assist people with developmental
disabilities to live and
participate in their communities."
Working here is not just a job, it's a career. We believe our staff is our greatest
resource. We value the unique strengths and talents you bring to
HOPE. Our culturally and ethnically diverse
clients and staff reflect the vibrancy of northern California. This variety of
perspectives and experience lends strength and depth to our organization.
We believe in building careers by promoting from within. At
HOPE, many of our Coordinators, Managers and
Administrators began their careers here as direct service professionals. Staff
development is critical to our mission. We value the ideas, creativity, and
energy that you bring to HOPE. We look
for innovative ways to help you meet your continuing educational goals.
We do this by helping you grow and develop through trainings, performance feedback
and supportive supervision. We provide professional continuing education
through opportunities to attend conferences and seminars.
We're proactive, constantly advocating on behalf of our field as a whole, promoting
and adopting best practices and professional standards. We strive to increase
understanding, dignity and respect for people with developmental disabilities
and everyone in their communities. We promote the active exchange of ideas in
maintaining existing communities and building new ones.
HOPE offers broad career opportunities in: Community Living, Adult Day
Services, Community Employment, Work Activity Centers, innovative Community
Based Programs, Senior Services, Children's Services, (Homestart), Counseling Center,

It all adds up to making a big difference in someone's life.
